Draw Shape

The Draw Shape tool is used to select multiple PINs at the same time, to either display the information under the Parcel Information bar, or add to the Custom PIN list.

To select an area using the Draw Shape tool

  1. Display the map from your search results, select Retrieve Parcel to display the map information, then Activate Parcel to display the Property screen.
  1. Select the Draw Shape Window with arrow overtop button
  1. Select the spot on the Map where you want to place the first point of the shape.
  2. Move the cursor to the spot where you want to end the first side of the shape.

As you move the cursor, a line extends to show you the first side of the shape.

  1. Continue to move the cursor on the map to place points until the drawing is in the shape you want.
  2. On the last point, double-click to finish drawing the shape.

The map details for the properties contained within your shape display at the bottom of the screen (with a scroll bar if more than 3 are displayed).

  1. Select the Draw Shape button to exit the function.
  1. From here, you can select the Custom button to add the displayed PINs to your custom list.

The PINs appear in the Custom PIN List.

  1. In the map view, from Custom list in the top left of the screen, select the PIN to be removed.
  2. Select the Remove button at the top right of the screen.

The PIN is removed from the list.

  1. Select the PIN from the Custom list in the top left of the screen.
  2. From the View by option, select Detail.

The Property view displays.

  1. Select the Parcel Register button.

The Parcel Register Options window opens.

  1. Complete the Click to CloseParcel Register Options in the window.

Instrument Range

  • All Active Instruments - Select this to display all active Instruments for the PIN
  • Selected Date Range - Select this to limit the Parcel Register to a defined period. Enter the start and end dates, in (YYYY/MM/DD) format, or select the start and end dates for the period from the Click to Closecalendar.

Single Arrow - Select the single arrow to move to the next or previous month

Double Arrow - Select the double arrow to move to the next or previous year

Include Deleted Instruments

  • Yes - Any deleted Instruments associated with the PIN will display
  • No - Only undeleted Instruments will display

Parcel Register Language

  • English - All Parcel Register contents in the PDF will appear in English, regardless of the language of your session. All functional items on the screen will remain in the language of your session.
  • French - All Parcel Register contents in the PDF will appear in French, regardless of the language of your session. all functional items on the screen will remain in the language of your session.
  1. Select OK.

The Parcel Register information displays.

  1. In the top right corner of the Parcel Register, select the PDF button.

The PDF window opens.

  1. To download the PDF to your computer, if desired, click the Download All button.
  2. Save or print the file, as desired.

Click to CloseTo create an autopopulated Instrument from a PIN

  1. From the Parcel Register, select the Create New Instrument button.

The Create New Instrument From window opens.

  1. Select the plus sign Plus Sign next to the Instrument Type category, and select the desired instrument type, or enter the first few characters into the Instrument Type field, and select Search.
  2. Select the Create button.

The new Instrument displays, auto-populated with the details of the PIN for the displayed Property Register.

Click to CloseTo download a text file of the Parcel Register

  1. From the green arrow Green arrow menu in the top right corner of the Parcel Register, select Download Text File.

The file downloads to your computer.

Click to CloseTo request one or more Instruments

  1. In the Instruments section of the Parcel Register, select the plus sign Plus Sign.

The list of associated Instruments display.

  1. Select the Instrument(s) in the list.

Tip: To select multiple items, use the checkboxes Check Box.

  1. Select the Request button.

The Instrument Request window opens.

  1. From the Options drop-down list, select View, Email, Courier, or Preview.

Note: The Preview option will display a blurred copy of the Plan for preview prior to purchase.

  1. Enter the required information and click View, Email, Courier, or Preview.

The request is sent.

Tip: Once an Instrument has been generated, it can be viewed or reprinted the same day without incurring extra charges by using the Reprint Items feature from the Administration module under Dockets.

  1. Click the plus sign Plus Sign to the right of the Instruments section.
  2. From the green arrow to the right of the Instrument, select Details.

The Registration Number window opens, displaying the details.

  1. To request the Instrument, select Request.

The Instrument Request window opens.

  1. From the Options drop-down list, select View, Email, Courier, or Preview (if available).

Note: The Preview option will display a blurred copy of a Plan for preview prior to purchase, if available.

  1. Enter the required information and click View, Email, Courier, or Preview (if available).

The request is sent.

  1. In the Parcel Register, select the plus sign Plus Sign next to the Instruments section.

The Instruments display.

  1. From the green arrow menu Green arrow menu next to the Instrument you'd like to copy, select Create New From.

The Create New Instrument From window opens.

  1. Select the plus sign Plus Sign next to the Instrument Type category, and select the desired instrument type, or enter the first few characters into the Instrument Type field, and select Search.
  2. Select the Create button.
